New Exhibition: “The Weight of Untold Tales” at Atelier Newport, Rhode Island
The Weight of Untold Tales, a group exhibition, features Ko Smith, Robin Crocker, Jemison Faust, Karen Yank, Gayle Mandle and Richard Nocera. Together, these artists weave a visual tapestry of storytelling expressed through the language of mixed media, sculpture, and painting. Fragile in nature, and poetic in language, these elegiac inspired works speak to the fragility of human beings during these times. Layers of theory, history, collected detritus, data; a small section of America’s long history, coded, embedded in original letters, and expressed through poetry. This exhibit attempts to heal, emote and reveal our fragile nature, and our fragile place now marked in history.
